We have previously posted a living room tour and we are back with a updated tour! Things have pretty much remain the same but we have added some things in our living room area and switch things up a little.
Starting off with the TV area, we initially wanted a TV feature wall to elevate the space but chose not to due to budget constrains.
That is where we came across the idea of limewashing our wall to make it resemble a 'feature wall'.
This was only decided during the later part of the reno and it became a diy project, we really loved how it turned out and I would say this is one of our favourite features of our living room.
We will be talking through more about our diy limewashing process in a separate post (:
Our tv is a 75inch from LG and we feel it is the right dimension for our living area
Newest addition to our living room - our pushback sofa but finally arrived after months of waiting. The sofa took longest to arrive as we took a long time to find the right sofa that fits what we are looking for, some features include
1. Pushback sofa
2. Stain and scratch resistance
3. Long and wide 3 seater
4. Neutral colour
No surprises, this is the most well utilised furniture ever since we moved in :p
This has been our new dining area ever since it arrived.
With the push back function, it allows the sofa to become a mini sofa bed for guests to stayover if they want to.
Special feature of our coffee table, this is probably our favourite and most successful purchase from taobao.
This is our default position during dinners and on days when we want to switch up our enviroment to work/study in the living area instead of the study room.
Will probably be making a separate post on all the features of this coffee table as we think that it is really functional!
If we have read our previous post, previously, we had our mahjong table placed on level 2, but as we recently adopted a kitten, it has since transformed to a temporary cat room and hence we decided to move the table to level 1.
We thought it would look slightly out of place initally but it seems to blend pretty well as the base of the mahjong table is also darker in colour.
We thought this was a good area to shift the mj table to as we aren't sure what to do with this additional space atm.
There is also an option of folding the mj table when not in use.
Our curtains is from everyday curtains.
We opted for day curtains as we do not require blackout curtains in the living room, on days when it is really hot and sunny, this serves the purpose to block out the heat yet still allowing some daylight to come in
