We are fortunate to have a balcony overlooking Bidadari Park, a key area in NParks’ conservation efforts. The park was recently opened to the public, featuring over 2,000 new trees and including more than 150 species specially planted or transplanted from other locations. This ensures that our view of greenery will remain undisturbed by future construction.

We have installed automated zipblinds to keep our balcony protected from rain. Being able to control our zipblinds remotely with the Tahoma app adds a lot of convenience, especially when we are not home and it starts to rain.

Being able to adjust the zipblinds to a specific height allows for precise control over natural light and ventilation, which can significantly enhance comfort and energy efficiency.

The zipblind at full height offers complete coverage, which would be excellent for blocking out light and protecting our balcony from adverse weather conditions.

There can never be too many greens πŸ˜‰. Standing beside our fish tanks is this beautifully structured Everfresh tree from Pluntco. It’s fascinating how this foliage plant from Japan closes it leaves at night to conserve water!

This is what greets us everyday when we come home after a long day. It’s a cozy retreat, with Peranakan tiles and LED strips embedded in the fluted panels creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Ficus Umbellata adds a touch of nature, making the space even more welcoming.

Our Ficus Umbellata is a perfect addition to our entryway. Its large, waxy, heart-shaped leaves add both whimsy and elegance, while its air-purifying qualities enhance our home's environment. Having a unit that faces the corridor ensures it is positioned in a spot with bright, indirect light and optimal air flow. It’s lovely how the terrazzo pot perfectly complements the terrazzo backdrop of our arc shelves along the entryway. This pretty much sums up our green corners. Stay tuned to our upcoming posts on other corners of our humble abode! 😊
