Hello everyone 👋🏼
We are kokenwā —
the style of our home flows with Japandi features and hence, a Japanese name. It translates to happiness, health & harmony; what we hope will embody in this home 🤎
Our first post dedicated to the first draft of renders received from our ID. As it’s a preliminary draft, some of the colours and placement are incorrect but we would still like to share the charm of this imperfect; we can’t wait to see how it will shape up once we officially start renovation in October.
First up, our living & dining —
We want this space to exude warmth for both ourselves and our guests as we hope to host friends and family in the future. This space is about 6 metres long and 3 metres wide, housing our 3-seater sofa and dining table.
Husband and I are moderate cooks, occasionally whipping up simple dishes like pasta and pan-seared mains. Hence, we focused on having more countertop space for food preparation, as well as future appliances.
Dry pantry —
One of my favourite parts of the home —
This space will house our oven from Bertazzoni and our fridge from LG Object collection. We’ll also have about 800mm worth of counter-top space to place our other appliances, such as a water dispenser from Novita, and a Nespresso coffee machine.
An L-shaped wardrobe with a suspended vanity and hidden mirror in the table-top - what I’m looking forward most to in this space. As well as having the wardrobe to myself as husband has one for himself too.
Excited to share more updates and purchases we will have for the home in time to come 🤎
