Hi everyone! 👋🏼
It’s almost the end of Season 10 and I can’t wait to finish my posts on pre-reno because the start of Season 11 is also the start of our renovations! 🎉
We visited Lamitak twice to confirm our laminates and have procured samples both in-showroom and online. Read on to hear more about our process and experience, and if you are in the process of finding your laminates, we hope this post helps you too 🤎
Firstly, it’s important that you make an appointment online before heading down to their showroom, especially on a weekend. We didn’t know that appointments were needed when we went down the first time and it was really crowded - thankfully the staff were understanding and allowed us in.
We’re most thankful for the big pieces that we can see in person as it allowed us to get a better sensing of how the piece will look like when it’s up. We could also pull out a couple of laminates and compare them side by side if there was sufficient space between them to rotate and fix them like the above 🔝
Do also remember to bring samples or cut-outs of your tiles and/or vinyl to help you see the colours together better!
We were so glad we did this as the first laminate we picked out had a warm tone while our fixed vinyl has a cool tone. We then quickly hunted for another to ensure we stuck to the same cool-tone palette for the laminates.
Once you confirm the laminates you would like, you can fill in a samples request form to get up to 10 samples, free! As we needed more, I went online to create an account to request for a few more different samples - this was free as well, except for the $1 shipping which I felt was totally justifiable.
Lamitak also provides a light box with switches for different types of lights that you can view your laminates in - there is warm light, daylight, and cool white. This aided in our visualisation of the laminates before we confirmed our picks!
We hoped this post has helped you, till next time 🤎
