Our Entryway Reveal 🌿 | First Impressions Matter

Kicking off our home journey 🤍 Excited to share our little 4-room resale HDB, starting from the entryway! The first impression of a home really starts at the entrance. We replaced our old gate with this new one, and made sure everything stays neat and intentional. 🚪 Main wooden door, we decided to keep our original wooden door since it’s still in great condition, but the color didn’t match our theme — so we gave it a resticker makeover. Our feng shui consultant emphasized that the entryway must be clean — no clutter, no visible shoes. We also added a half-moon red rug to give a warm, tidy welcome — our gate is the “face” of our home after all! 📏(W)80cm x (D)120cm | 💲include Transport: $27.47 
For our digital lock, after browsing many brands at Commex, we decided to go with Yale — a trusted classic for locks. 🌿 The metal grille outside the door has slanted panels, which feng shui says can feel like “knives” pointing at the house. To soften it, we tried hanging three plants — a first for us since we’ve never really grown plants before. We originally considered adding a CCTV, but since we’re the last 3 units and have no direct neighbors, we skipped it. Slightly regretting it now — adding one later would mean exposed wiring and more hassle. Lesson learned! 😅 👉 Do you prefer a simple entryway, or do you like it full of decorative touches?
