In line with our home’s light-coloured Japandi luxe theme, our home entrance is also white. The white gate and bench blends in with the corridor walls, which makes the area look clean and seamless. 
The only exception being this faux eucalyptus tree! Before we got this, the area felt a little *too* white; and the tree added a pop of colour without straying from our theme. 
We added an outdoor bench too, for us/visitors to wear our shoes comfortably. We chose this curved design in a nod to the curved elements throughout our home. This bench is made of metal, and is actually marketed as a park bench! This makes it easier to clean (we sometimes just pour water over it :X) and we don’t need to worry about termites/insects (as is the case for wood/rattan). 
Speaking of insects, we’ve also installed this door seal, to keep out creepy crawlies!
