Welcome to our dining area! In a 4 room HDB there honestly isn't too big of a space for a designated dining room, so it sits just beside the kitchen. We opted for an extendable dining table, which is perfect for hosting people but can be kept away when it's just 2 of us in the house. The cove lighting creates a warm ambience at night and we just love how this center of our home turned out! 
This is a side view - where the kitchen overlooks the dining area. I found that this is perfect to chit chat while guests are over, without being totally cut out from the conversations while getting any items in the kitchen 
This is how the table looks like when folded for just 4 people, becoming a rectangle / square-ish shape. 
And the cutest table top accessories were bought from taobao - (1) must need tissue box that fits in aesthetically and (2) magnetic coater plant doubling up as a coaster for guests and ourselves
