Our Cosy Retreat: A Blend of Style and Practicality

Next up, showcasing our bedroom! Our bedroom has a rather regular rectangular layout which allows us to fit in a king size bed and a L-shape built-in wardrobe. One thing to mention is that we chose not to install lights in our ceiling fan to avoid any potential flickering. Top-mount lights have been placed in various areas of the bedroom with 2 way switches to be controlled at our respective sides of the bed. We did not install headboard to save cost since our bed shifted from our previous place already came with it. It would have been an additional $680 just for a headboard! The entrance view to our bedroom. We opted for a neutral microcement colour for our carpentry to maintain a cohesive and minimalist aesthetic. Despite the limited space in the bedroom, we incorporated a larger vanity table (~90cm) to suit our specific needs. We selected an irregularly shaped mirror to add an aesthetic and visually interesting touch to the space. The mirror is equipped with LED lighting strips to enhance brightness and functionality. We also designed two niches beside the vanity table to conveniently store our skincare products. There are accessible PowerPoints in the niches to charge our devices if required. In the bottom-most drawer of our wardrobe, we installed electrical outlets to conveniently store and use our hair tools while keeping unsightly wires hidden. We absolutely love this pendant light, as it adds both warmth and a touch of wabi-sabi charm to the bedroom. That wraps up our post—thanks for reading, and we hope you enjoyed it!
