Our master bedroom is one of my favorite areas to talk about because of the decisions we made in the space. It's simple yet efficient because it maximizes the space that we have. We decided to hack the partition wall between our master bedroom and bedroom 2 and replaced it with a wardrobe, so we didn't need to do an L-shaped wardrobe and forgo the vanity area. We decided to do a built-in bedhead, which also connected our bedside tables and vanity table. This helped to make the entire place look more seamless and also gave us the flexibility to customize how we wanted things to be. For instance, we matched the height of our bedside tables to the storage bed, so we wouldn't have it get in the way when we were changing our bedsheets/mattress covers. We also opted to get a storage bed so we could maximize space and storage in our house, without needing to overcrowd other rooms or carpentry. The vanity area also features a niche in the wardrobe specifically for me to put my Dyson air wrap, and we also included power plugs there for ease of use. The drawer of the vanity stores simple skincare and everyday items so they're convenient to access! The wardrobe replaced the partition wall fully and also allowed for a more seamless integration of a second wardrobe in our bedroom, because it didn't come at the expense of the available space in the bedroom. A close up of our bed space -- we chose to go with a queen sized bed so we'd still have enough space in our room for our bedside tables and vanity, without the room feeling too cramped. A close-up of the vanity area with a built-in niche for the Dyson Airwrap and any other hair stylers. With the wardrobe on top, this gave for additional storage above the niche for daily-use products. We chose to get an odd-shaped mirror to add some depth to the space as opposed to getting a usual round mirror -- small design choices like these help to elevate the space!
