Our Bedroom: A Soft, Soothing Space to Unwind

Our bedroom is a space where we wanted to evoke a sense of calm and warmth. Here, you’ll see our bed framed by a custom wooden headboard that runs the width of the wall. The LED strip above also helps to create a soft, ambient glow at night, perfect for winding down. 
Next to it is our vanity corner, made more open with a mirror that stretches all the way up to the ceiling. It’s custom-cut to fit our space, and helps reflect light around the room while making our layout feel just a little bit more spacious. 
To stay in line with the soothing colour palette of the room, we went with neutral cream blackout curtains paired with sheer day curtains. It’s a simple yet effective way to block out light when needed, yet still let in a soft glow during the day. 
On each side of the bed, we have built-in side tables that are part of the headboard design - a detail that keeps things visually cohesive. Each one is also topped with a small night lamp, which is great for when one of us wants to stay up a little longer without waking the other! 
Our wardrobe carries on the same neutral, textured look with our laminates, keeping the space consistent. We’ve also got a row of wooden storage boxes at the side, which will come in handy as we settle in and fill up the space more. Hope you enjoyed this little peek into our bedroom!
