Our study room is very basic as we didn’t do much reno to it. We only hacked away one wall, and replaced it with a synchronised sliding door to open up the space. Hacking away the room wall was a good decision that we made, really enjoying the space we get together with the dining room area!
On hindsight, we would have stuck with a normal glass sliding door rather than paying a premium for the synchronised mechanism, as we keep this door open close to 100% of the time, only closing it when one is in the dining room and the other is taking calls in the study.
We also have a corner for our Dreame robo vacuum, which has been a great addition to our lifestyle! We heard many people talk about the perks of a robo vacuum, but we only got it about 2 months after moving in. Before that, we didn’t truly appreciate the appliance as we didn’t have it at our old place. However, we can now truly say that it is a great investment that has become one of the best buys for our home ✨
We also have the Kallax unit from IKEA, and it fits into the room nicely, and it wasn’t intended but we also place our frequently used bags on top of the shelves. Thankfully, this works well for us as if we didn’t have this shelving, not sure where all our bags would be placed at.
