We kept to our woody theme in our kitchen since our BTO came with a open concept kitchen. Can you spot something that we are missing? It honestly it's a shame that we don't have a separate service yard unlike a lot of other BTOs! We didn't want our clothes to be hanging around an open concept kitchen and also the smell when we cook, so we took out the manual laundry rack!

A little bit of fengshui in play here, because we were advised that the sink should not be directly beside the stove. So we ended up we our sink at the far end of the kitchen instead and thankfully we were able to squeeze in both our kitchen sink and our washer/dryer in the same area! We opted to have top cabinets and minimal open shelving to not have the hassle of cleaning dust that will accumulate on open shelving and it work perfectly for us! Nothing beats having more storage space :)

We chose induction hob because we thought we will not cook super often. But things do change when you have your own home! We ended up cooking at least twice a week! But no regrets getting induction hob, because it is super to clean after cooking! We were also glad that we went with our glass backsplash for the kitchen! Super easy to maintain as well.

It was a goos choice extending our glass backsplash to the tap area because it is where we have the most water splashes at the sink area 😅 Ended up with 1 side of open shelving because we didn't want to block out the window too much with carpentry.

Another advice given to us was to cater for a bigger fridge space first so that we could downsize or maintain the size of our fridge more easily in the future if there's ever a need to. We love that our ID gave us drawers for our dry pantry area because that's where we store our snacks 😋

Love that we have another counterop to put our coffee machine and also have enough storage for snacks and other items, all hidden away! We love how seamless our kitchen is to our living area. The money and efforts came to fruition when we saw our friends and family being able to gather around the living area and even be engaged in the same conversation in the kitchen :) Our whole renovation of the kitchen cost $12k but it was worth it!
