Welcome to our kitchen! Following the rest of our home, our kitchen is Wabi-Sabi themed and a little "Aesop inspired" Our laminate for the kitchen matches throughout the entire living room. The first mandatory thing we wanted for our kitchen was for it to be both an open and close concept kitchen - I do alot of cooking! Hence, we got these bi-food sliding windows and swing door which comes together seamlessly to give a close concept kitchen. And this is the "open concept" look. This is the look most of the time in the house as we just love an open space. We did an L-Shaped pantry/cooking area. I really wanted it to look spacious and not cluttered so we had to sacrifice the fridge area. We also wanted a built in for the fridge and microwave, hence this layout. Guess where the fridge went? View of the kitchen from the living area. I love this area as it's so functional and acts as not only a prep area but also a workspace and breakfast table. So this is where our fridge is 🤗 It eats into some space in the yard but we got our "spacious kitchen" so all's good.
