Do you like to collect things? As much as social media is pushing new products on our feed. some old thing has memories. 
This solid walnut marquetry table was the first coffee table we bought for our first home in 2009. (16 years old) back then mid century modern is big. Everyone is buying Eames chair & Louis Poulsen, real or fake. 
Also we started to keep those travel souvenirs like cute cups and small plates from our trips. 
Stupidest thing we carried back from Parisian vintage markets is this heavy Moet & Chandon stainless tray more than 10 years ago but ridiculously durable!! 
Real hack I wanna share: if you like kitschy quaint things. Wine bottles with click seals are great water pitchers while Japanese Sake Cups are incredibly durable and cute! We ended up collecting these colorful printed ones when we find them, Great for house parties and dish washer friendly.
