Hello everybody! 👋 We are @weitosamshouse, a couple with a toddler living in a 4-room BTO at Singapore's newest town, Tengah 🌿 This is our floorplan!
When we first got it, I was a little sad that an open concept kitchen was not possible. But after living here for a while, I am glad for this layout because I do not have to worry about the whole living and dining area getting oily or smoky (even though we do not do heavy cooking haha).
That awkward nook beside the MBR door also puzzled me at first, but with some help from our ID, it is now a built-in wardrobe with so much storage 🫶
We wanted a simple home with natural tones throughout 🌱 Our sofa is from Hipvan’s Tara series in beige. Everyone says we are brave for choosing such a light color with a toddler, but honestly with sofa covers and a toddler who prefers sitting on the floor, it has been zero stress 😂
To keep things bright at night, especially for our little one wandering out of his room, we added a standing lamp from Taobao and we love the soft glow ✨
Keeping to our color theme, we picked this dining table and chairs. They are not from the same series, but they pair so well together 🤍
And yes, we do not have a feature wall or TV 😅 We do not really watch TV, and when people host and invite us, we often notice that guests end up sitting around the screen instead of chatting. That was one of the reasons we decided to skip it. We wanted our living and dining space to be for conversations, not TV time.
My two kitchen loves: our oven and the giant Philips 7.2L airfryer 🍞🍟 It has been such a game changer.
One of my favorite small details is the motion sensor light 🙌 Sometimes I am just too lazy to switch on the kitchen light, so this has been perfect. Just walk in and the lights turn on automatically.
The area that keeps all our clothes smelling fresh and looking clean 🧺 Nothing fancy, but one of the most important corners of the house.
Our common toilet doubles as our toddler’s main bathroom. A step stool is a must for little hands to reach the sink 🧼 And of course the trusty squeegee helps keep the floor dry and mould away.
I could not resist these foldable hooks 😍 Pretty and functional, and the fact that they fold just makes me happy.
And finally, we keep our bathroom smelling lovely with Hooga’s reed diffuser in Peony & Freesia 🌸 Such a refreshing scent.
Here’s the end of our mini home tour. We look forward to sharing more! We will be posting soon about our bedrooms and study room, so stay tuned. Do follow us on IG @weitosamshouse to see more of our home content 💛
