Since we were fortunate enough to secure a 5-room BTO, we made a conscious decision to not hack any room walls. This allowed us to have one study room each, which are decorated super differently to match our personalities!
But first, some boring non-negotiables - a full length wardrobe in each of our study rooms, for general storage and also to preserve the flexibility for if/when we have kids and need to turn either study into a kids’ bedroom. We went for a simple off-white laminate, something neutral to accommodate the potentially changing needs of the room.
C’s room is his man-cave/gaming zone outside of working hours. The study chair is super unique (perfect for those who like to fidget), and the adjustable height table allows for various working positions throughout the day.
N’s room, on the other hand, is a lot brighter! We have the same adjustable desk (although in different colours), but different study chairs. N’s room also includes a mini sofa from HipVan, which we moved over from our previous rented apartment.
N’s room also houses her yoga mat and weights for home workouts. The shelves in N’s room are really different from C’s - although both somehow feature soft toys. Guess we are young at heart!
