14 years ago, we had a washer/dryer machine. It was our very own washing machine. The dryer sucked. Clothes went in damp and came out damp and stinked. We decided to ditch the dryer and solely use the machine for washing. 
Fast forward to last year where we had the chance to use a washer/dryer machine that actually worked! It was at an Airbnb apartment in Bangkok. Clothes went in damp and came out dry and smelling great! 
So from swearing never to buy another washer/dryer machine, we became converts and bought our second washer/dryer machine this year! We have learned that the capacity of the machine matters most for a dual function washing machine. We previously owned a 8/6kg machine and had since upgraded to 13/8kg. We love the ability to put clothes in at night and wake up the next morning to clean dry clothes!
