My Taobao Home Purchases (2 Years Later) 🛍️

Hi guys 🫶🏻 During my home reno 2 years ago, I went on a shopping spree on Taobao like many of you did or are thinking to do 😎 so here are some of my fav TB items for my home & how they hold up after 2 years! Come along as I share whether to BUY or BYE ✋ 
1. Bubble Pendant Lamp This has to be one of my favourites! I actually got two lamps (1 Big & 1 Small) but my ID & I both agreed having 1 (Big) looks better & it’ll be easier to maintain if I want to switch out in future. I use this lamp almost everyday! 
2. Wavy Mirror We have this entryway mirror at our DIY limewash wall (read my recent post on How To DIY)! It became quite an iconic feature in our home & was even featured on a MediaCorp video! Tip: There’s always a risk ordering fragile items online so I would recommend to add ‘wooden frames’ 木架 & let the seller know! Also make sure you have a hammer to open the parcels when they reach. 
Just a note that this mirror is not full length & we chose 壁挂式 hanging type. Tip: As with all online purchases, expect minor defects :/ we had a few minor cosmetic defects which do not affect the mirror’s functionality. Hence, we didn’t ask for refund! 
3. Rattan Settee We have this settee next to our entryway to wear our shoes every day :) love the walnut colour which adds a bit more character to our space! it’s sturdy & still holding up well after two years! 
Onto my vanity area, can you guess which items are from TB? 💫 They are: 4) Vanity Lamp 5) Vanity Mirror 6) Boucle Chair 
4) Vanity Lamp I love how this lamp has 3 colour-toned lights! 💡 there was once when we had to replace the battery which was easily bought on Shopee :) 
5) Vanity Mirror If you noticed, I have a thing for irregular/orb shaped stuff 😂 this mirror also came with a minor scratch so if you’re someone who can’t handle this, I will not recommend buying mirrors on TB! 
6) Boucle Chair I’m surprised the chair is still looking ok after 2 years despite me not maintaining it at all 😬 however, don’t be like me & you can vacuum/ wipe it down! 
That’s my 6 favourite TB home buys! Safe to say I’m still using them after 2 years :) remember to look at reviews & always opt for wooden frames 木架 for added protection! I hope this helped in your shopping decision. Follow me on IG @jjhomestories for more home content 🏠
