Did you that fire rated doors are expensive? To make things worse, most condos don’t allow to change the door design After getting the first quote for $2400. We had ask around for more quotes and it range from $1800 to $2600 to make back to similar design. PS: the centre accented piece is a “burl” wood natural veneer and those who quoted say it very expensive +$200. Also to add 3D trim design also +$200 We actually ordered room doors & frame from @contatdoors (will show u guys later) and the uncle who came to take measurements say, actually the old condo doors are very well made. unlike the new type in the market that are mostly using lower quality and expensive. They offered to take back to refurbish. Nail back the loosen side wood, and replace the centre strips where the lock comes out and refreshes the paint work. Total damage is $600 (after we bargain a bit) and we decided to take the money we save to install a new @igloohomesg digital lock. Was quoted $2400 from ID contacts, we had to ask around for other quotes. True enough it’s $1800-$2600 for our fire rated door spec 
Door is taller & thicker than usual with an exotic “burl” wood center. 
Some more for this 3d trim design to follow. It all adds up. 
First time learning about this exotic wood with a lot of eyes 
So one of the contractors say can refurbish. Old doors are actually made with better materials than new generation doors 
We end up saving a lot and took the savings to buy an igloo home digital lock. (Still got change😅)
