As you enter the house, you'll be greeted on the left by a full-height carpentry feature. This built-in unit serves multiple functions — it houses our shoes, a small settee, the DB box, and provides ample storage space. Inside the drawers, we keep smaller essentials like socks, shoe polish, and other shoe care items. Near the plant area, we installed a rotating shoe cabinet rack from Taobao, which cleverly allows shoes to be stored on both sides. 
Since we own quite a number of shoes, maximising space was a key priority. If you're planning to include a similar mechanism, be sure to consult your interior designer or contractor early on to ensure proper integration.
