Welcome in! Our home opens up to the living and dining area and this would be the first thing that guests see when they step inside. The idea is to keep the living room cosy and spacious. We have a mini-corner to place the decor items. Since they are loose furniture, we are able to switch up the position and add or change new items through the different seasons. We also have a large mirror to ensure our outfits are on point before we head out. We have also added a faux olive plant for that pop of green in the living space. We don't have a TV, but we do have a TV console to serve as more storage space to stow away router and board games, and to hide the unsightly wires. We left this wall intentionally blank as we are looking to get a projector in the near future :) We did away with a coffee table and got a C-shape convertible table instead, to create a more spacious look. Also, a broad view of how we style our sofa mainly with sofa throw and varied pillow styles. A closer look at the pillows, we chose black cushion covers to add that pop of darker tone amidst the neutral off-white colours for the sofa and floor recliner. We also had a donut-shaped cushion to add a little texture to the whole look. We got an arch display shelf to display some of the decor items and a basket at the bottom for functional storage purpose. We specifically look for an arch design to soften the whole look of the area, since we did not incorporate any built-in curves. A close up look. A final look at our living area in wider angle :) thank you for reading till the end! Follow us as we share more about our home journey.
