As we all know, service yard in those typical bto is very small. Here are some ways how i maximize the limited space in this area. Use the space above your laundry appliances for handy storage, such as cabinets and shelves. We drilled a shelf from Ikea to put all our laundry essentials above the washing machine for easy access. 
Keeping your laundry area organized can make a world of difference with how much space you have! Here are some tips you can try out : 1. laundry detergents & bottles in storage organizers 2. slim trolley for additional storage 3. basket for your pegs or foldable clip for your hangers 
Since the service yard is near the kitchen, I create a small pantry where all my dried ingredients and food parcels are neatly organized. So lucky that this shelf from Ikea fits perfectly in our service yard. 
All in all, though the service yard isn't exactly a space you would typically show off, you can always make it more useful for the whole family. Make your service yard multipurpose !
