All things kitchen organisation? 🔪 Featuring all the drawers we have across the bottom units Am sure it is a rampant tip now that drawers are highly functional and therefore highly encouraged to have in the kitchen. If the budget allows, do accommodate for them! First bottom drawer, towards the left of the induction hob, lies all the big, bulky pots and pans. Intentionally kept there as well so they are easily retrievable when cooking Used these disposable clothes to protect the pots and pans scratching one another too Because they are stacked in one another as well, there might not be enough space to store the lids. Picked up this hack from YT where these adjustable rods were placed as such to serve as a divider, allowing the lids to stand instead. This has been working very well! Next drawer houses a row of pans with their handles sticking out. Lining them up this way is space-efficient and keeps things neat There is a large variety of kitchen accessories that can be purchase online and we got ours mostly from Shopee. They have been very helpful! If there is one kitchen reno regret, this might be the biggest one - positioning the cutlery drawer directly under the induction hob. We only realised this problem after our first few cooks where the cutlery drawer would heat up quite a fair bit. Naturally, the longer the induction hob is used, the hotter it might get We don't know whether there are long term repercussions to this, be it damage to the laminate or just not a good idea to have heat trapped within, but I have developed the habit of leaving this drawer slightly ajar for heat to escape. So far so good! Next to the right of the induction is the pull-out spice rack, housing allllll the cooking condiments. Very easily retrievable too Very glad that our kitchen drawers are large and deep, providing ample space for all sorts of cookware More serving plates & bowls Another bottom drawer that holds the bigger cooking appliances such as electric pot to have hotpot with, sandwich maker, immersion blender, portable blender etc. These are irregularly shaped and usually harder to store Final drawer directly under the oven to store baking tools & supplies For the units above, all of them are the typical cupboards. To maximise vertical space, we have these racks / shelves to place the various, smaller knick knacks! Also to hold dry ingredients that require taller / larger containers. These are directly above the counter space I usually prep food on Final part of the kitchen cabinets is the cupboard under the kitchen sink - housing several cleaning supplies Very evidently, I categorise all these products and each has a cabinet / drawer / cupboard it belongs to. Having an intentional layout allows one's working flow in the kitchen to be more seamless and efficient
