Since our 1st ID meeting in Apr 2024, we are happy to share that we have just gotten our keys! 🎉 It has been a long journey, as we had liaised with 12 IDs in total. Was it worth it? Absolutely 💯! We have met all types of IDs, including quite a few with red flags 🚩 So, we have compiled a list of warning signs for those of you starting your own journey. Do save it for reference! 📝 As newcomers, we had a lot to learn. We are grateful to the IDs who shared their insights and helped set our expectations. Meeting all those IDs took time, but we believed it was an essential step in finding the right fit for our home. Looking back, there are things we could have done better to save both the ID and our time. So, for those of you in the same phase, we have shared some tips on what we learned along the way. Hopefully, it will help with your planning! 🌟 Interestingly, the ID we chose was one of the few we met during a home event. Ironically, the Google reviews for the firm were not great due to slow responses quoted by some reviewers. But what gave us the leap of faith was the ID’s super prompt replies, and we saw almost all the green flags listed over the months of our interaction ✅ So hey, sometimes it is more important to evaluate the individual ID rather than just the firm. Keeping our fingers crossed 🤞, hopefully everything will work out well for us so that we can share more about our home! 🏠 Most importantly, TRUST YOUR GUT! ❤️
