Welcome (back) to the tofu house! This post is dedicated to the living room, which has been one of the most tricky spaces due to the house layout. 
Due to the existing house layout, the living room is actually a L with a very narrow walkway. The sofa is actually sitting on a space that used to be an adjourning room - the tofus hacked the wall away to open up the living room space. They've designed the house such that the living room flows into the dining area and kitchen seamlessly for the look of much bigger space! 
The tofus initially contemplated whether to buy a sofa for their living room due to the space constraints, but decided they still needed something for their guests to sit on. It's also facing the TV console so it would be useful to relax here when they get a TV or projector in the future! 
A closer look at this gorgeous sofa! Despite being creamy white, the sofa has been surprisingly quite dirt resistant..t's also very comfortable - not too soft that the tofus will sink into it, but has a good amount of bounce. 
Although the tofus haven't purchased a TV at the moment and have no plans in the near future, they bought this TV console to conceal their modem and also make it look neater, rather than leaving everything on the floor. They really like this rattan texture that adds a bit more character to their Scandi house! 
The TV console and the area in front sometimes doubles up as their fitness area because their gym doesn't allow them to lay out their mats fully! 
The tofus have experimented sprucing up their living room area with some plants - unfortunately it doesn't get enough sunlight, so they've moved the plants to their chill area instead. 
They realised that flowers look very nice on the TV console and add a nice pop of colour to the otherwise white and brown aesthetic! It also helps that they can keep changing out the flowers here, depending on the mood they want to create. This idea actually came about when Tofu V was thinking of a place to display her Valentines' roses from Tofu G! 
Pastel hydrangeas have been quite hardy and hold up very well in Singapore's heat! They're also much more affordable flower options if you're thinking of having them as a constant in your living room space. Unfortunately the tofus' living room space is a little odd and very limited, but they've learned to make the best of it. Their living room now flows into all the other areas of the house, which they'll elaborate more in separate posts - especially the cosy area!
