Today we are showcasing our living room and some of the products. We kept it minimalistic as the main highlight of our house is the island/dining area.
We built a partition to flush the wall and had our TV mounted on it. We also did a 6ft built-in floating TV console with a cut-out behind to hide the wires! Everything looks so clean π
We were blown away by the Kef LS60 speaker aesthetics and sound quality when we visited the showroom for a demo (we actually went to try out another model π ). Soβ¦ πΈ
The Samsung frame TV as well, we saw a particular wallpaper they displayed which looked so realistic (literally looks like a real painting) and we were sold π
This is a 65β to cut some costs back then but looking back a 75β would have been perfect to watch all the way from our island π€£
Our unit comes with a balcony and it can get really hot and bright in the morning as we are facing north-east. We ended up doing zipblinds which is really a lifesaver π
We also got double pleated day curtains for the living room, as we wanted a softer flowy look.
This is the back part of our living room, from the hacked bedroom. We are keeping this area empty and flexible for now. It has almost become a Dyson showcase area π
We keep our vacuum and mop here, as there is a dual powerpoint near the window to charge them.
On the other end, we place our Dyson big+quiet air purifier - usually it faces the kitchen to get rid of any lingering formaldehyde from our carpentry. It also acts like a fan when we are sitting at the island.
The extra Dyson fan is mobile - we move it to the kitchen area when cooking or study room on days when both of us are WFH.
We really love the color of the big+quiet, it looks so classy. We turn this on 24/7 since our carpentry were up. It has really helped to manage the formaldehyde levels - our eyes no longer feel stinging/teary when we step into the house.
Highly essential since we moved in relatively soon after reno was completed!
P/S: This is the FIRST time Iβve seen the formaldehyde at green level, it has always been at the orange level since forever π±
Lastly we come to our entryway. We hide our bombshelter and DB box with carpentry, and also did some additional storage for shoe cabinet.
A sneak peek at our Ubiquiti wifi setup in the DB box π If you are interested, you can subscribe to our Youtube as we will be sharing on this topic soon!
We will be sharing more about our reno considerations for other parts of the house and products review next. If you enjoy our content, do follow and also follow us on our other socials (Youtube/lemon8/Tiktok/IG) at the same handle where we post more reno tips and home content! βΊοΈ
