here’s our lighting plan that works for us, hopefully it’ll give you some inspo for yours! lighting plan for our 4-room dumbbell layout 💡 
our main philosophy - small, warm lights with the flexibility to choose how we want to illuminate our home each time. we wanted to avoid one big, single light source for each zones. each zones have their own purposes, swipe through all to view them in detail! 
common room: individual pairs of task lights for each of our working zones fan + light for ventilation and illumination near the wardrobe (and over a bed, potentially) bomb shelter: a single fan + light with the existing HDB point foyer: we’ve got a full length tinted mirror on the left. so we wanted to play with that to illuminate this area. 
living room: task lights above the dining and TV console, down lights to illuminate our walkway to our room and a looooong strip of cove light for vibes and visual interest pantry: LED strips to illuminate our shelves and underneath our island pendant lights for big vibes and great for tasks at the island yard: Steigen light can be turned on when doing laundry kitchen: adjustable surface-mounted lights paired with LED strip for the best cooking experience (no shadows!) 
master bedroom: adjustable surface-mounted lights right outside the bathroom LED strips to illuminate wardrobe, open shelves and curved bedhead downlight and mirror light in our lil’ vanity nook bathrooms: matching decorative ceiling lights acrylic panels + LED strips look out for real life images, price breakdown and review of our more lived-in lights in time to come ðŸ¤
