Light vs dark theme: our major regret

The first brief to our ID was “white and airy”. Swipe to see the contrast between our current living room with our first home.
This was our first home industrial team living room with grey walls, grey sofa and darker vinyl flooring. Looks good in photo but honestly very depressing to stay in.
Our current bedroom with softer colours, more fabric and light source.
Our first home bedroom was average but we can’t stand the dark grey walls after sometime. I am not sure why we chose dark grey curtains too!
