Sofa hunting!
We already knew we’d be heading to Malaysia because sofas in Singapore are simply too expensive.
The first shop we visited was Homiest Living: it has multiple storeys and so many sofas to choose from. We initially shortlisted this huge sofa and really liked it, but the price was a bit too steep (around RM7k).
So we decided to keep our options open and head to another shop to check things out first.
One tip: lie down and try the sofa for more than 5 minutes. That’s the only way to know if you really like it. For us, Taobao was a no go because comfort is super subjective as everyone’s body is different.
We went for this sofa in mint colour in the end! It comes with a neck rest and pull out leg rest so we can truly relax and enjoy our time in the living room.
We also decided to go non-electrical because we didn’t want any wires exposed on the floor especially with a 1 year old around, and it just looks cleaner too.
The fabric is scratch-free and water-resistant, which is a huge win since it’s much easier to clean.
