Hi everyone 👋🏻 it’s officially our last post as a Communa S8 ambassador! It’s been great sharing our home & connecting with so many of you in this homeowner journey together 💕 For our last post, we’ll deep-dive into ✨ kitchen organization ✨. Trust me, I’m not the best at organising so any tips are welcome too! You’re looking at our hob/hood & sink area where we have a combination of vertical drawers, horizontal drawers & cabinets. Beginning from the left, we have a vertical drawer for sauces & condiments from Blum! Why Blum? 1) We heard it’s of good quality so we splurged on the only Blum drawer in our entire kitchen 😂 2) Since we need water-resistant material for sauces & condiments in case of spillage, this seems like a good choice! Next, we have 2 horizontal deep drawers below our induction hob! The top drawer holds plates & the bottom drawer holds heavier things like rice, flour, sugar & our mixer. Tip: While deep drawers look like less clutter on the outside (imagine 2 large drawers versus 4 shallow drawers), one huge con about deep drawers is that we’re underutilising the vertical space. One thing I hope to improve in future is to get vertical shelves to store more things & make use of the deep drawer better! Next, moving onto the stack of 3 shallow drawers! The top houses our cutlery, the middle houses bowls and the bottom houses containers for food storage. Let’s take a moment for this 4-way expandable cutlery organizer from Taobao 😍 they are a tad small for my drawer & hence this is the max expanded size. Below the sink situation 😅 it was a lot messier than this! We threw away our leftover paint (2 years ago) & reorganised this space with Taobao pull out organizers. It now houses painting tools (left) & cleaning supplies (right). Lastly, our humble vertical drawer that holds our Fushi Maison cleaning supplies & other tools like sponges, clothes, glass cleaning spray etc. Thank you for joining us on this 13 week sharing journey 🏠✨ we hope you had fun reading!
