From our oven to our coffee machine — these are the appliances that truly made cooking easier (and more fun). Some were great buys, some we might skip next time 😆 Sharing honest thoughts after 10 months of real use in our small but functional kitchen! 
Kitchen Hood | 抽油烟机 FUJIOH CONVENTIONAL HOOD FR-SC2090-R-RS — SGD 999 We picked this model mainly because of its quiet operation. The design is a little bulky, but among the models we tried, this one was the quietest even on level 3! My ears are quite sensitive to high-pitched sounds, so this was a big win. Though it takes up more top space, we have zero regrets — it’s powerful and comfortable to use daily. 
Gas Hob | 炉灶 FUJIOH GAS HOB – 2 BURNERS FH-GS7020-SVGL-PUB — SGD 599 One burner is designed for stronger “wok hey” cooking — perfect for my husband! He initially wanted a 3-burner hob, but I insisted on 2 because it’s easier to clean and suits my simple cooking style. 😆 
Steam Oven | 蒸烤箱 WHIRLPOOL BUILT-IN OVEN 58L, W3 MS450 — SGD 1779 We wanted one that works as both a steamer and an oven — and this model turned out perfect for us. At first, I couldn’t find any online reviews and was so nervous! Then one day, I randomly found a XiaoHongShu post by a Singaporean sharing this exact model — she loved it, and that gave me confidence. After 10 months: still love it! I use it to steam my meals, my husband bakes pizzas and lamb, and my mum bakes cakes when she visits. 
Fridge | 冰箱 SAMSUNG 2-DOOR FRIDGE RB45DG600ES9SS — SGD 1319 We almost bought the same LG model as my brother’s, but it was too tall and narrow for us. Since both of us aren’t very tall 😅, we went with this wider but shorter Samsung model instead. We really wanted a 2-door fridge, but the kitchen just couldn’t fit it. 
Washing Machine | 洗衣机 ELECTROLUX FRONT LOAD WASHER EWF1143R7SC — SGD 1449 We initially looked at LG, but the drum was too small. The salesperson recommended this Electrolux model, saying it’s one of the most reliable brands for washing machines — so we gave it a go. So far, no complaints! It’s quiet, washes well, and fits our weekly laundry easily.
