A dedicated coffee, tea, and matcha corner was a must-have in our home. ☕🍵
We used to spend so much on drinks whenever we were out, but ever since getting our coffee machine and matcha setup, we've been making almost everything at home instead.
Yes, it's a big upfront purchase... but if you're making your drinks at home, you're not buying them outside anymore. So technically, it balances out and costs $0... right? #GirlMath 🤭
If there's one kitchen appliance that has genuinely changed the way we cook at home, it's our Thermomix (TM7)!
Out of everything in our kitchen, this has easily been our best investment. We honestly use it more than our stove.
It comes with access to over 100,000 guided recipes, which has made cooking so much easier, especially as a busy mum. Even my husband, who had almost no cooking experience, can confidently cook by simply following the step-by-step instructions.
From cooking rice, steaming, boiling and blending, to making soups, stews, sauces, ice cream, and even kneads doughs. It does so much in one machine, which also means fewer dishes to wash. Plus, having this means lesser appliances you need to own = more space.
If you've been curious about the Thermomix or are wondering whether it's worth the investment, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM. I'm always happy to share our honest experience, answer any questions and share with you any deals happening now 😊
Apart from my TM7, my glass air fryer is probably my next most-used kitchen appliance. In fact, these two work together to cook most of our meals!
Why I love a glass air fryer:
1. You can actually see your food as it's cooking (no more guessing if it's done!).
2. It's super easy to clean.
3. No non-stick coating to worry about—just a glass cooking bowl.
It's one of those appliances I use almost every single day.
A dishwasher isn't the most common appliance in many Asian households because there's always this stigma that it doesn't clean dishes properly... but I can confidently say that's not true!
We use ours almost every single day, and everything comes out sparkling clean every time.
One feature I really love about our LG dishwasher is that for smaller loads, we can choose to wash just the top or bottom rack. It saves both water and energy, so we don't feel like we have to wait until it's completely full before running a cycle.
Definitely one of those appliances that has made everyday life so much easier.
While we use our dishwasher almost every day, we still keep a dish rack for the smaller loads and items that aren't dishwasher-safe.
We went with the expandable Joseph Joseph dish rack because it doesn't take up unnecessary counter space, but can easily be extended whenever we need the extra room. We usually wipe dry our items to clear clutter, but some days, that is just too much work and this holds rack A LOT.
It's practical, keeps the countertop looking neat, and honestly just looks so much nicer than a typical dish rack.
One of those little kitchen upgrades that we use more often than we expected.
