Hello guys! Welcome to the bedroom edit :-)
Our bedroom is kept super minimal as we want to be able to end the day with zero distractions. No screens, no clutter and clean air.
We have a Philips air purifier at the foot of our bed and it runs automatically every night before we sleep and half an hour before we wake. It has been extremely low maintenance too — I’ve only had to clean the filter once in the past six months.
We have a reading lamp on each side of the bed, for winding down, and side tables for body balm, lip balm etc and to hold a warm glass of water before bed.
Our curtains are blackout so we sleep well. There is a lot of light pollution near us so this was particularly important for deep, undisturbed sleep.
Our bed frame is from Grey and Sanders, save that we opted for a custom headboard rather than the standard headboard that comes with this bed frame.
Our headboard is a single slab of wood that has been finished with transparent resin. We saw it at the showroom and could visualise it in our home.
That slab of wood actually changed our entire plan for the bedroom, as we originally intended to have way more built-in furniture. We ended up getting the slab on this Sonno Bedframe and entirely scrapping all the built-in furniture plans for the bedroom.
We are happy with how this turned out — the custom slab gives the bedroom all the character it needs, and our room feels cleaner and less cluttered without built-in furniture.
I fell in love with this light fixture the moment I saw it and had to have it. I actually tried purchasing this from multiple sellers on Taobao, but they kept cancelling my order saying that they were out of stock. It looks so architectural and contrasts beautifully with the organic outline of the wooden headboard.
My order went through on my third try :-)
