Welcome to our kid's playroom aka study room. We kept it bright by getting white colour furniture. Despite the name of the room, the kids didn't really use it for these purpose. They usually bring down the toys to the living area and we do work on the dining table too. Reason being, the kids probably want our presence while they play. Our initial idea was to let them do their work here hence we got this study table for them. Thou they don't really do their work here, I did find them reading their story books here in the morning thou. 
We set up a reading nook by having a rotating bookshelf (which saves lotsa space) and a comfortable bean bag here. 
On the other side of the room, we have storage boxes to house all the toys. Framed arts are also placed on the wall here to spruce up the area. We tried to minimise the amount of built-in cabinet as we know eventually this room will be converted into a bedroom for one of our kids. 
All in all we like how simple and clean our playroom looks!
