Is a BTO defect check a waste of money? 💸

We hired a pro to inspect our BTO... was it a waste of money or a total lifesaver? 🧐💸 
We definitely DID NOT prepared for the hollow tiles. The pros brought tapping rods and spirit levels—tools we don’t even usually own. It’s not just about looking; it’s about testing. 
At least we got it "black & white" rectified! We a professional report things are taken seriously and we saved the trouble of back-and-forth arguments. 
Don't build your dream home on a "leaky" foundation. Clear all site defects so you don't have to worry about future problem. 
I'll say spend the small money and leave these to the pro! Saving a few hundreds may cost you thousands in future!
