Sharing how we saved more than $400 by getting solar films from Taobao and installing ourselves instead of engaging a vendor for it. We obtained 3 quotes and it was all more than $500 for our 4rm flat. Here’s our living room in the day with solar films! It definitely does not feel as hot now. 
This is our bedroom. So we originally purchased the wrong one as it has a blue tint. The blue tint was rather obvious in the living room with day curtains. For our bedroom it was ok as we only have blackout curtains. Can you see the difference? The top window does not have any film. 
And here’s our study room where we opted for the same film as the living room. This allows for more light to pass through while blocking away the UV rays. The next few pics will be on how the process is like to install solar films by yourself. Highly recommend getting solar films to have a cooler home!
