Hidden behind the white-fluted panels is the powder room. This dark room creates a strong contrast to the brighter and lighter outer space. We use the same dark tiles for the floor and walls. Usually, lighter colours are used to help visually expand the size of a small space. Since this is already a dark and tiny area, we decided to ride on the characteristics of this room. Toilet paper is stored in a wooden box which is right next to the toilet bowl. It can be pushed back and hidden when not in use. The workers have already cracked two tiles when drilling in the accessories so we welcome the idea of not needing to add the toilet roll holder on the wall. Nowadays, I don't throw away things as mindlessly as I did when I was young. I try to make use of what I already have. This mirror used to hang in the foyer of our last home and now it fits perfectly into this space. The holey mirror coincidentally matches the holey sink that I bought from Tao Bao. One of my best buys. Paintings, fragrance and small items in the powder room help to create some visual interest and improve the experience of visiting guests. Like this man with a running nose...... ...and some prints with frames that I got from IKEA. Inexpensive but yet able to create an impact.
