Hellllloooo! Today we will be talking about colors and some ways we ensured that a colorful house still matches and not look too chaotic! Firstly, we followed a few color rules of the house: 1) Sticking to 3 main colors : Red, blue, and green 2) Only silver/chrome accents, no gold to prevent clashing of metals 3) If prints are to be part of the house, they should ideally be checkered or stripes (this rule is quite flexible though!) Finding complementing colors and make sure you stick to these colors is really important too! We really like how blue and yellow/orange looks together so our MBR’s bathroom focused only on these two colors! 🧡💙 Got an orange pendant lamp to match our blue tiles too! Small details/items matter too! Whenever we are buying smaller items like storage containers/cutleries, we made sure that they were one of the 3 main colors we have shortlisted! Showing off Dopey’s new outfit in this photo, but also showing how the door frames of our study room door is red - sticking to the 3 primary colors we have again~ Took this picture before the tiles of our izakaya counter is up! This heart shaped lamp is my favorite of the house! Helps that it’s red too 🥹 Zoomed out shot of our drinks shelf at our bar counter! Noticed how even how the color of our drinks matches the theme? Red, blue, green and checkered patterns ☺️ The house is definitely still a work in progress, but we are both really happy with how things have turned out thus far! Will be sharing more about our design process in the next few posts ☺️ THANKS FOR READING ❤️💙💜💛💚
