How to Get Curtains from Taobao! 🍑 All under $400

If you’ve bought a home in SG, you probably know how crazy expensive custom curtains can be. I remember doing tons of research, it was exhausting! So I tried buying from Taobao, and guess what? Same (or even better) quality for way less! But the process wasn’t easy. I had to figure out materials, sizing, talk to sellers in Mandarin (there would be a lot of Chinese industry terms which I never heard of before even though I’m native speaker), and deal with shipping headaches. 
🏷️ Here’s a simple guide to ordering custom curtains: 1️⃣ Decide between curtains or blinds – Look at your window design. For small windows, blinds might be a better option, but for a cozy, elegant feel, curtains are the way to go! 
3️⃣ Order fabric samples – Some are free, some are paid. Check for quality, smell, and texture. Also, test the seller’s responsiveness and pricing before committing! 
🔍 Key things to check before ordering: ✅ Curtain length & fit ✅ Pleated vs. non-pleated design ✅ Blackout level (full blackout vs. light filtering) ✅ Single-layer (day/night) or double-layer (day + night) curtains ✅ Ceiling track vs. standard (if choosing a track, let the seller know—the length may need adjustment!)
