Got our first water dispenser after two years of living here - and here’s how we feel about it!
We didn’t choose to get the built in dispensers because our water points were limited (and we didn’t want the additional costs of drilling through walls and doing new piping) so we always knew we would have a tabletop dispenser, if we ever got one
We ended up choosing this Bruno one because it looks really sleek and doesn’t seem too big or bulky. We weren’t looking for anything super fancy - so we skipped all the models with complex functions.
Here’s how it looks like sitting next to our coffee machine! It’s in our dry pantry, which is next to the common bathroom - super important because it cuts the water refill journey by half 🤣 we refill the tank from the common toilet sink so we don’t have to carry it all the way to the kitchen
And here’s the water tank - this is 2.5L and unfortunately… we realised too late that we probably should have gotten a slightly larger one 🥲
We thought 2.5L was enough because every person is only supposed to drink 2L of water a day… so that means we would only have to refill it once/twice a day right since there are two people in the household + we’re not home all the time.
WRONG.
We ended up using this for a lot more than just drinking water 🤣 the hot water function is great for making drinks, cooking (ever needed just a bit of hot water to loosen up your noodles or mix in your miso for miso soup) and even cleaning (do not underestimate the wonders of flushing your sink with hot water 🤣)
So we refill it an easy 2-3 times a day at least - definitely recommend getting a larger dispenser if your household is two pax or more!
Good thing is the tank is relatively easy to fill because it’s just like a big water jug with a lid 😮💨
The water dispensing part is pretty straightforward as well - just press the buttons and water comes out 🤣 there’s also a light at the dispensing area so you can get water in the dark LOL
There are five fixed temperature settings, and no, they cannot be changed 🥹 while this isn’t an issue for us at the moment, this could be a drawback for you if you need water at a specific temperature or if you want cold water - the coldest it can go is room temperature and we all know in SG that’s lukewarm 😛
Lastly, it fits most cups we have, and even this Montigo ace bottle (which is about 400ml). We don’t have any super large water bottles but we’re guessing you’ll probably have to tilt any giant 1L bottles at an angle if you want to use them with this dispenser
So TLDR - water dispenser is great, works fine, no complaints but you’ll probably wanna consider another model if you have a large family or if you want more complex functions and filters 🤓
