There is nothing that ruins the aesthetic of a beautiful home faster than a dangling mess of black cables. When I decided on the 55" Samsung Frame TV, I knew I didn't just want a television; I wanted a digital gallery. The goal was to make it look so much like a physical painting that people wouldn't even realize there was technology behind it. It’s been a total success—I’ve actually managed to fool several guests who walked right past it, only for their jaws to drop when I "turned the art on" to start a movie!
To achieve that perfectly flush, wire-free look, we had to get a bit creative with the construction. Instead of just mounting it on the existing wall, we built a slim secondary feature wall. This allowed us to create a dedicated channel behind the scenes. We fed the translucent One Connect wire directly through the internal cavity of the new wall, snaking it out invisibly into the adjacent side cabinets. It’s the kind of detail that takes extra planning but makes a world of difference in the final result.
The best part of this setup is that the actual "brains" of the TV—the One Connect box—is completely tucked away inside the side cabinetry. No bulky boxes sitting on a console, no blinking LED lights, and absolutely zero visible clutter. It’s just the thin, elegant frame of the TV sitting perfectly flat against the wall. There’s something so satisfying about a "stealth" tech setup that prioritizes design just as much as function. It’s transformed the living room from a typical media center into a clean, sophisticated art space.
There’s a real sense of pride in knowing that with a bit of planning and some smart sourcing, I managed to create a high-end, clean, minimalist environment that’s as functional as it is beautiful.
