Hello! We are a couple who are a first-time BTO home owners. This is a 93sqm 4-room BTO in the east. Prior to meeting our ID, we already have a theme in mind and that has to be Mid-Century Modern! Our renovation cost about 58k in total. This is the original floor plan. Our BTO has a few different layout. We have chosen the one with the bomb shelter in the kitchen so that we have larger living space! Final floorplan that our ID rendered. We have decided to hack a wall and replace with a sliding glass door at bedroom 2 so as to create an illusion that the living room has a bigger space and also to allow lights from bedroom 2 to shine through it. We decided to do a full height cabinet. It serves as a divider which provide privacy should we decide to leave our main door open. Our full length bronze mirror at the entryway gives an illusion that my house is bigger in size. No regrets! Added a rustic element (sideboard) to our Mid-Century Modern theme. Our Tv console area is one of our main highlights in the house. Fluted dark wood adds texture to our living area. Instead of opting for a built in TV console, we have decided to purchase off-the shelf so that we can have the flexibility to change it in future. Included this coffee table as a last min purchase from taobao turns out to be pretty good quality! Kitchen Carpentry we continued with our dark wood Walnut laminate as it gives a unique character to the house. For the surface and the backsplash we decided on sintered stone material due to this durability and stain-free. IKEA condiments holder helps to organize my sauces available Our common bathroom overlay was a last min decision to add in after seeing the HDB tile colour. Master Bedroom toliet wood-like tiles are our favorite! Love how the overall colour combination complement wells with each other We have decided to go for top mount basin although aesthetically undermount sink is better looking. We have converted our Bedroom 2 to a studyroom. The room looks bigger isnt it? It was a good decision that we have made and definitely no regrets!
