our first home ;-) 
The general colour scheme for our home is brown, cream, and grey. We did not want a boring beige home but was also not confident in pulling off a colourful theme. A lot of our purchases focused more on textures like our TV console which really was a love at first sight 😍 
For our built in carpentry, we opted for brown laminate with wood grains on top and grey laminate for the bottom. Th is is to create visual interest in the space while not making it too obnoxious. An item we hope to get soon would be an oven! Not sure what is good but i miss baked meals 
2 gifts we enjoy in our kitchen are: 1. Water filter dispenser! Its a gift and actually so useful. Customised to the capacity of our cup and also set to 4 different temperature, hot, warm, room & cold. 2. Nespresso! I use it everyday and get the capsules with cdc vouchers (hehe) 
See how we picked our lights be on theme too 😬 We used the same laminates for our bedroom wardrobe so that the home theme is cohesive. Therefore, we also got hangers that'll fit the theme! 
I'm really proud of how we customised our wardrobe to fit our needs btw, after 1 year of staying, no regrets! The top of our wardrobe keeps our extra beddings and we found it particularly useful to stuff them into laundry meshes by their sets! 
For environmental sake, we kept everything that was given with the BTO. That means, the floors, walls, doors, toilet fittings, switches, laundry racks... 
And that includes the infamous Central Cooling System Air Conditional ✨✨✨ 
Honestly I think our defects weren't a lot and the rectification was decently quick, but that can only be true if you chase them. 
We engaged professional help since we are first time home owners and were unsure of what to look out for. Overall, it felt worth it to us. 
I feel that we are quite lucky to have a pretty nice base to start with 
And we got the entire house painted nitro grey! 
Last but not least, we got our real first plant too 🌱 Snake plants are super low maintenance and looks great!
