Welcome to my new home tour! Second-time homeowner here, and we chose a resale 3-bedroom apartment this time round. This self-designed apartment is heavily inspired by Xiao Hong Shu, the theme follows a mix of mid modern century, bauhaus and eclectic! We welcome dopamine decor too 🤭
We have a 6-month old baby girl whom we call her baby 🥟 and she deserves the pops of colours in her life 🌈
I’ve uploaded a vlog version on YouTube - check it out here: https://youtu.be/OxB2DIQ06vc?si=8ylpXjrAcbmEDIC0
For now, let me bring you around for the home tour!
It’s a resale 3-bedroom apartment of 1109sqft/103sqm. We didn’t do any changes to the layout configuration, but tore down all carpentry in every room, redid both bathrooms and kitchen.

Zooming into the details, we have a fortune cat poster to welcome us home everyday, and a cute poster from the Everyday Club! In front of the posters, 2 crate baskets are meant for everyday essentials. With one basket meant for reusable shopping bags, and the other on valuables.
Total mid century modern vibes - with wooden cabinets, yellow subway tiles for backsplash, and stainless steel counter top, backed with soft warm lighting. ✨
We brought over the sofa and rocking chair from our first home, as they still fit well into our new home theme. The wall’s still WIP. Welcome all ideas!
A balcony of versatility! It can be used as an extended living area when we host gatherings, or used as a space to dry our clothes. While we have a dryer, we still like the good old sunlight & wind to dry our laundry naturally! ☀️
An example of using this space for drying laundry. In our previous home, we have been using retractable laundry lines like this and we’ve been loving it. In this new home, we added 2 more lines to accommodate for larger laundry load!
We designed the door to conceal the hallway for a functional reason. From the experience at our previous home, whenever we have gatherings, the sound travels to the bedrooms for whoever planning to sleep earlier. And especially we have a baby now, the noise insulation is tremendously crucial.
Since baby 🥟 sleeps with us at night, for now, we’ve converted the space into her playroom! And we’re gonna continue using loose furniture in this space since baby 🥟’s needs are ever evolving!
We keep the designs consistent across both bathrooms. In this theme, we want it timeless, spa-like, a space that relaxes us after a long day at work.
To make it looks spacious, we use a single tile format across the walls and floor. We splurge on using a large tile to make it more elevated!
Again, we prioritised on storage to hide away any mess.
Our master bedroom is a little compact, but we made everything work with modern day’s versatile furniture. A bed with storage underneath, and a movable crib to make up the essentials of a good sleep!
We had limewash as the backdrop and kept the colors light.
