We envisioned this space to be the heart of the home where meals and gathering happen. 
We are not a fan of the typical chunky consoles. Hence, we requested for a 'shelf' to be built in place. This also helps to keep things off the floor. 
A spacious kitchen is important for us and hence we made the decision to move the fridge out into the living for more preparation space in the kitchen. 
The common bath is kept in a dark theme with large format tiles to reduce the grout lines.
