Since we’re overseas a lot, having a quiet, personal spot at home was a must — especially for Wayne, who’s always dreamed of his own setup for shows, games and alone time. After playing around with the layout, we finally settled on this: two tables side-by-side by the window, soaking in all the sunshine and rays. Our biggest steal was definitely the automated Taobao tables at just ~$100 each (including sea shipping via a 3rd-party agent — shoutout to my friend for helping), which would easily go for $800–$1,000 in Singapore. Wayne brought over his trusty Secretlab chair, while my swivel study chair was another Taobao find, ~$100 with shipping, versus $389 at IKEA. And yes… it’s very clear who’s the minimalist and who’s the maximalist here. Spot the Hangyodons all over olive. Still a work-in-progress, but always happy to share our little affordable wins! ✨
