One of the joys of having our own nest is being able to spruce up our space the way we wanted. In our first home, we did not dare to get any live plant as we are scared that it might get "killed" by us and attract insects that I absolutely loathe. Well.. there is always a first to everything. >.< We bought 2 live plants from Soilboy (Rain Tree and Phyllanthus Mirabilis) as they look really cute. We are sold immediately when the staff told us the leaves close at night and open during the day. How cute is that.

Here is our Phyllanthus Mirabilis. It always feels therapeutic looking at the veins.

Besides live plants, we also have some dried plants and flowers in our house. They are great as no maintenance is needed and they don't look as plasticky as faux plants. Haha.

Another cute little dried plants. They are paired by the stylist from The Happy Place. We love it.

Nonetheless, we do have some faux plants in our house. These succulents from Crate and Barrel look so cute that we immediately got it during their sales. Good thing is they are textured so they look rather realistic.

Some other faux plants in our study room. These faux plants look more plasticky as they are literally plastic. Haha. However, I have to say that they are still great in sprucing up our study room. Furthermore, they are more affordable than the rest.
