Crafting our first BTO home! Japandi and Santorini vibes
Get Solar Films to block out UV and infrared heat!

Our BTO unit was specially picked to avoid the afternoon West Sun! However, there was no North-South facing units for the BTO and our selected unit had room windows which all face the north east sun direction, and the service yard window faces the south east! Hence, in the morning especially, we still get direct sun heat rays into the house! The sun rays in morning are especially bad for one side of our study room where we work from home and the room gets quite warm with glaring sun rays. We have also been warned to ensure that our sofa and electronic appliances are not in the direct sun rays so that their product lifespan can be longer! Hence, we installed 3M Prestige Window Solar Films for our windows! The solar films we picked: -Living Room, Study Room and Service Yard: PR70 -Two Bedrooms: PR50 For the PR70 solar film, it allows 70% light in, while rejecting 99.9% UV and 97% infrared heat! As for the PR50 solar film, it allows 50% light in (which is ideal for bedrooms) and 99% infrared heat rejection!
