A sneak of our self designed 3D render! This was the start of our home reno journey that spanned across 6 whole months!
Doing it yourself also meant planning your electrical yourself! This was by far the most challenging as we had to start from 0 and learn about all the little details that goes into electrical planning. We also wanted to make our home fully smart, so we had lots of thoughts into this. Our habits, our new ideas, and what we envisioned our smart home to look like.
Hacked off a room to make our living and dining bigger. We both agreed that this was the best decision we made! 😌
Large format tiles was our go-to choice. We wanted the area to look bigger and we decided on 60x120cm tiles.
We decided to hacked off the service yard walls, and the entrance foyer wall that separates the kitchen.
This was how the living room would be if we had remained as per the original floor plan.🫣
Figuring out to cover up the bombshelter on our first few visits.
The space dedicated to our coffee and drinks bar. ☕️🍷🍸
Our first glimpse of our carpentry that made everything look totally different, and suddenly, so surreal that it’s coming together. 🥺
Our dream peninsula - to be used for baking and hosting. Imagine the grazing table here! 🧀
Some decisions didn’t go as we wanted, some mistakes made turned our better than we imagine. Like how our electrician forgot we had a pendant light at the peninsula and put the recessed lighting here. But we decided to go with the recessed lighting eventually as the hanging light was blocking the view of our coffee bar.
