Rectifications coming in place. aka free works from HDB but eats up your time.
In all I would recommend to get a defect check if going for main con route, provided if the main con won’t do a check before hand, cos so many problems were there and we being newbies can’t possibly detect them all.
Unless going with ID and they have a pre defect check before work commence then it has some assurances.
HDB contractors brought up all the materials needed for their rectification work.
And when we check it out in the evening, noobs us got a shock trying to move the super heavy tiles in order to open the door 😅
From there we knew what’qs the tiling cost we are paying for 😂
More tiles that were uneven. And because ours is a Sales of Balance Flat SBF, works were done maybe a year or more ago. So things might wear off on its own already according to the hdb contractor
New cement screed for the new kitchen floor tiles!
Secretly happy that we got a new upgrade cos we were saving with the hdb tiles since it’s light in colour and we were okay with it
Service yard bifold door was giving problem as well and have to change the spring.
Husband didn’t like the bifold door but we try to keep first to save cost
Things we didn’t know matter
Our door was changed from the original set up
Hence our door is different from our neighbours! Didn’t even notice it until contractor points out
So the door spring was shifted and old hole wasn’t patched up.
Crack tiles on top of the door. Who would have notice!
Even the toilet door is slanted, can see from the top tiling and silicon getting thicker
But we can’t do anything to it. And hopefully overtime we won’t notice it as much.
